The List

I was planning to 'line off' my hull today, but I suddenly decided to sit down and make a list of the one or two things I'd really need for my voyage on the Blue Moon.

Any such list is going to be specific to a sailor and his sailboat, but it might be useful to someone else in the future, so I figured I'd post it, just in case.

And I always thought the Pardeys were exaggerating when they said to allocate 1500 lbs for each crew member... Ha!

If I've forgotten something crucial, let me know!

  1. To the grab bag I'd add chapstick, 100 ft or more of parachute cord, and a multi-tool like a good Leatherman.

And if money is no object, a cheap VHF handheld that was set to run on ordinary batteries, and a supply of said batteries, and/or an EPIRB.
